Inching ever futher...

Another Wednesday, another common hour, the faculty has a dedicated 2 hour block during fall and spring semesters to hold club meetings, union meetings, etc. Naturally, those of us who are not tenured are expected to fill these roles to show service to the college. Since my tenure is being decided as I type, I wonder what roles I'll be filling this time next year. I'm pretty sure the clubs are out. They've been more trouble than they're worth in terms of exposure and I always seem to find the most troublesome ones to advice (not that they listen to me anyway).

It’s now Thursday and I’m glomming a stray wi-fi signal here at Jolly Trolley. The silliness continues unabated. Anyway, I’ll be divesting myself of my various less important jobs next year, whether I get tenure or not. Mostly, I’m just waiting for the final letter from the college with my fate sealed within. I’ll save this for now.

OK, now it's Monday and I'm still on draft status. Not much has happened, and this draft is becoming a blog within a blog. Anyway, I'm waiting for the final letter and the chance to live out my life in a normal fashion. More later....
